Karyotype for Spina Bifida?

can anyone find me a karyotype or pedigree for the neural tube defect,spina bifida?(i know its partially caused by mutations in the MTHFR gene on chromosome 1).Also, is the defect a genetic disorder or not? If no karyotype or pedigree is available, how do i represent the change in the normal gene that causes it? thank you:)
