How can I prevent my dogs from destroying my yard and house?

I have two golden retrievers who are very destructive. I've tried getting them bones, spent a lot of money on indestructible chew toys, etc. Since it is very hot here in the summer they have access to our ac cooled kitchen through a dog door and they have torn up the blinds, our dining set, etc. In the yard they have torn up my drip system, chewed on the fence, chewed up hozes, torn up plants, chewed up my kids play equipment, etc. They have cost us hundreds in damaged stuff. We just can't afford to keep fixing stuff any more and its taking an emotional toll on my family. I don't know whether to try and find them another home or find an inexpensive solution. I love them but we just can't keep forking out money to repair everything they have broken. We have an area on the side of our house that would make a good dog run. Would this be a good alternative? We would still have to figure out what to do in the summer.
