What price of a life in Britain?

2 pieces of filth, kill a grandfather with his grand-daughter in an unprovoked attack and are given a total of 8 years in prison. A soldier is killed in an unprovoked attack and his ailant is given 5 years in prison. A man is convicted of handling stolen goods, namely a 1st edition by Shakespeare. The book is recovered and on conviction the man is given 8 years. In today's Britain we have now come to the the sorry state that a book is worth more than a life. God help us.
