Is the girl with it? I can never get her alone!?

Ok so I think I like this girl, I got up early to meet her today and keep trying to be alone to talk with her but my friends or her friends always get in the way. I talk to her even more on the computer because obviously we are then alone. I'm always giving people advice about relationships but im really confused what to do! Today i met up with two of my friends then met with the girl, and we all talked and it was fine, shes also my friend and ive known her for almost a year soon. After a while she had to go to meet with her friend which was fine. I waited 3 hours for her and tried texting her after 2 hours. I ended up going home feeling sorta heart broken and on my way i saw her with her friend and just walked past and said cya, whereas I'd normally hug her. I had a xmas present for it, but its a necklace so i dunno if i should give her it or not now...
