Lower Leg Pain while running?

It's shin splints. It's a very frequent problem that most runners get. I'm very surprised your DR or therapist didn't recognize this. It happens to be about a month or so into running and I have to take a month off. It sucks. One thing that seems to help is a lot of stretching before you run. Also, my sister went to a good sneaker store and had insoles made speficifally for her foot to put in her sneakers. (She stood on a machine that showed where she displaces her weight.) These will help. Also, make sure you are running in new sneakers. This seems to effect my husband a lot when he runs. Good luck!
