A story that is similar to the book And then there were none? I can't remember?

I can't remember the title of a short story I read before that is remarkably similar to the book by agatha christie: And then there were none. the short story was about a few people that were told to go to this place and one by one they were killed and they thought the murderer was one of them, but actually it wasn't, it was this person who hated being second all the time, so he rounded all people who always came in first place and killed them. or something like that, i think. even his boat was called silver medal, symbolizing second place. as you can see, it is similiar to and there were none, because both have people murdered one by one on an isolated place, and they all suspect each other. I can't remember the name or the author of the short story! help???
