Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas?

I love the xbox 360 games from the call of duty series, but in the past I absolutely hated Tom Clancy's advanced warfighter. Now that they are cheaper, I wanted to purchase the original Gears of War and Rainbow Six Las Vegas games. Does anyone have opinions on these games, and how they compare gameplay wise to call of duty's 2-4?
